Hi:

I use LC-1 and ortho film too. Its very good. However it is slow. An ASA of 1. I've used a
12 X 18 camera. It ended up having an f stop in the range 0f 300. This translates to an
exposure of an hour on a bright sunny day for one picture.

The resulting prints are worth the wait. 12 x 18 contact prints are absolutely stunning!

Try and determine what the largest acceptable pinhole is, or maybe try using a zoneplate this
could minimize exposure time.

A technique that I've read about, but haven't tried is flashing or prefogging the film. A low
even exposure below the film's base exposure sensitivity is supposed to result in an increase
in the films sensitivity. This usually results in some fog and a loss of contrast, but I think
this can be easily compensated for with ortho film.
