What I do with the most basic cameras is allow about 1 to 2 mm on the edge
of the paper on two sides for attaching some tape and then sticking the
paper with the tape to the camera walls. You need only a small length of
tape. You can also use double sided tape but this has the disadvantage of
you having to press on the photo paper and risking marking it or having to
peel off the paper damaging it that way. With the former method you can
handle the photo paper via the tape.

In my favorite homemade pinhole camera I have put in screws with washers
onto the back where I place the paper. These just hold in the paper. There
are four of these on two opposite sides of the paper. On the other two
opposite sides I have placed two nuts held in by screws to stop the paper
from slipping. I just have to slipe the paper beneath the washers and
between the nuts; the paper then fits against the screws under the washers
and against the straight edges of the nuts (these are square not hexagonal
nuts.. This works well, I just have to cut the paper the right size to fit
between all these.

You could use block of would or improvise with something else instead of the
nuts. I just try to use whatever is at hand.

Good luck

Hi there,
I'm new here, so my question is quite basic, namely: how do you load (I mean
position) paper into a can camera? Do you use a tape that has both sides
adhesive, or a normal one-sided tape? How do you make the paper stick to the
camera's wall?
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
