4 x 5 sheet/ 5 x 7 film loading

Hello:

1) Regarding Riteway type 2-sided film holders, other than ones that have
light leaks, are they safely loaded into a camera in daylight, or are they
intended for cameras with dark cloth blankets and stored in the dark?

2) I am kissing my 35 mm pinhole goodbye - I just bought on eBay a 1000 foot
roll of 5" Plus-X, so I guess I'm committed to MF (or is that LF?) now. I
loaded my own 35 mm rolls back in the 70's in school but this is different.

Any advice on what kind of a fixture to cut sheets off the roll with? I
guess they get curly at the end of the roll

Has anyone ever seen a homebrew approach to a rollback of this size? (I
guess the full roll would need a tripod of it's own).
