The "normal focal length for 120 film is about 80 mm. If you get physically very close to the subject, there will be distortion due to the distance relationships when you are physically very close. You could get less distortion by using a longer fofal length, such as 6 or eight inches.Using 120 film, this will result in a very narrow angle of view and you will need some method for being sure the camera is pointed properly. A focal length about twice "normal" will usually give a good closeup with not too much distortion.

But I did not want a wide angle image, so for instance, if I want to make images of fruits, with a 6X9 120mm film, is my image going to be distorces ? How can I have a normal image for a 120mm film ? I do have a zero 6x9 camera and thinking to built a 4X5 one
