I have been using Type 55 for some time now, I clear
in sodium sulfite,
I dont measure my dilution I just through a couple of
table spoons in the bottom of the tank and mix it up,
The way you can tell if its finished is by waiting
untill any undeveloped areas have cleared completly,
I think i tried mixing the recomeded dilution once and
found it imposible to mix that much ss into solution.
Using perma wash is really unecessary, ss does the job
just fine, ss is also known to eat the edges of the
grain making it less aparent.
I NEVER put my 55 in fixer.......YUK!
After the ss I run it through water and then photo flo
and hang to dry. You do need to be very careful (or at
least awake) when handling them.
