i have several polaroid land cameras that i've converted to instant pinhole cameras. the easiest way is quite literally to rip all that stuff on the front end of the camera off. it leaves a nice, large hole that's easy to cover up (i just use aluminum and electrician's tape), and also a focal length close to that of the original polaroid.

what is more fun, however is to saw off the front closer to the base. this gives a much wider angled shot which translated to polaroid i think is quite beautiful. the plastic is really thin so it's not hard to do. although, you must first dis-assemble the viewfinder (useless anyways) and also the battery holder and wiring inside. polaroid cameras are fortunately, easy to take apart.

the exposure times are amazingly short. i've also had good results with the land camera format type 55 (called 655? 665? something like that). what i haven't necessarily had good results with is the color varieties 669 and 667... any suggestions about that? some examples:
