I actually brunched with Alain Laforest this past Sunday in Montréal on
the occasion of another exhibition he has here in Montreal. Though he
was not in NYC on the day of the attack, he was schedule to fly on
Thursday for the opening the following day.
The exhibition was part of a larger cultural event sponsored by the
Province of Québec and hosted at the Embassy Hotel, not far from the
WTC. All people from the delagation are safe, but there was some
destruction of some of the art work. Alain has yet to be confirmed the
state of his own work.
The exhibition is unlikely to be shown again, at least in the short
run. If it is, I will keep you posted.
