4 x 5 color film and other blahblahblah

I finally got literature from Fujifilm, and it was only the
"Professional" product line.

They had a 4 x 5 film pack that has some weird (to me) extraction and
reinsertion capability so it can be transported out of a camera to
processing...it sounded interesting.

I took three photos indoors with lowest priced color Polaroid 35 mm film
in my pinhole-converted 1960 Kodak SLR. I found that although the
shutter speeds are off (using shutter release cable and stopwatch), the
old meter was pretty accurate compared to a Minolta X700...at least at
one indoor light level I checked. I changed the ISO film speed to
'correct it'.

I set the Minolta zoom lens to about 38-40 mm which is what the pinhole
camera calculated out to, for previewing.

I can see thru the pinhole with the SLR, but can't see much more than
bright objects - I can tell which way I'm pointing the camera, but
that's about all.

I hope it doesn't take me as long to finish the roll as those pre-WWII
examples!

I'll probably try the C-41 B/W film next...

I just stumbled on this pinhole idea a month or so ago and joined this
list...I'll have to focus on it (no pun intended) because same
impulsiveness happened with another topic that is becoming a huge
project too!

Say, anyone ever make cheapskate print developing trays out of those
plastic storage boxes used for shoes, clothes, etc? It would be nice if
chemically compatible.

Might have to sand the mold release burrs off...
