It must have been in the mid-80s I read the interview with Ansel Adams, not in the late 80s...
It is not unusual that the master is less conservative than his disciples.I also think that a photographer like Adams "would have loved digital photography if it would help him get the prints he wanted".
That is the central point in all discussions about high tech or low tech , and lens or pinhole, and digital and traditional processing - it is just different means to get to the goal: the pictures. Everybody has to find his or her way the goal of making good photographs. (There are even some photographs who make good pictures with lenses on their cameras.)
