You can soak it in water while in the field. Permawash works nicely once you
get back home.

I've used Polaroid's Sepia film. It's nice but expensive (I won the box, which
is how I got to use it). I forget which direction it went, but the speed that
they suggested wasn't even close to what I settled on. Keep in mind that since
you cannot same the negative, you'll only be able to end up with a small
picture.
