Re: Pinhole-Discussion digest, Vol 1 #319 - 9 msgs

I posted this question on the darkroom news group to no avail, but since it involves pinhole
photography I probably should have tried this august group first.

I am making a pinhole camera to use 4x5 sheet film and thought that Tri X in Rodinal may be
interesting. However I can't find any data on this combination. Any suggestions??

Hi Bob,

I have been shooting Agfa 400 sheet film in my pinhole (Leonardo) camera and developing it
Rodinal 1:25 for 6 minutes with great results. I tend to overexpose the negatives (probably
rating the film 200 if I took light meter readings which I don't--it's more by the seat of my
pants guessing). I have shot about 50 sheets this way and I love the negatives. I develop six
at a time in 5 x 7 trays, agitating for fifteen seconds, then moving the bottom one to the top,
agitating again, etc. The negatives are very sharp and enlarge well to 11 x 14. Good luck.
