I think it is a good idea that you are interested in making quality wood
pinhole cameras. I would like to see what you come up with. You could sell
them on the commercial market. Many on this list probably would buy some.
If you want to sell your cameras commercially, once it's built start sending
news releases to all the photography magazines for publicity and take it from
there. Include a quality 35mm dupe of the camera or send 8x10
black-and-white prints of your camera and a pinhole photo taken with camera.
Manufacturing a camera, even if it's a pinhole camera could be an idea for a
small business, whether part time or full time and be a tax shelter. And you
would have fun.
