Ana Maria, thanks for the update from Brazil. Congratulations to you and Guilherme for the great job with the Portuguese translations, the promotions, AND workshops! You guys have incredible energy and are doing so much!
The coordinating team has had similar feedback from various places, and I suspect (hope!) that there is even more going on than we hear about. The visits to the site continue to stay high, averaging around 3,000 page requests per day. A lot of those requests are people testing forms and other areas of the site, but the visits are coming from more than 45 countries. The total number of "unique" visitors to the site is now over 3,600 since April 1.
We are well on our way, but the additional efforts of list members to help promote pinhole day will make it an even bigger event. I encourage anyone who hasn't done so yet, to take some time, print out some posters from the pinhole day web site, and distribute them to your local photo stores, art centers, college museums/galleries, anywhere you can think that people might be interested.
Something else you can do this last week - if you have a web site, add a banner that you support pinhole day.
The promotional material is at:
http://www.pinholeday.org/org/?page=banners
Congratulations and thanks to everyone who is helping make this happen!
