One of the difficult part is to make sure that the two sections of the image that
you scan are lined up in exactly the same way, so that when you bring them
together on your 11x14 canvas, they actualy match perfectly. I find that I need
a good overlap also. I can then select better where I cut the excess image on my
top layer before "flattening" the two layers into one image. I try to cut in the
dark areas of the print, where its easier to match the tones.
