Yes, the digital cameras with interchangeable lenses are quite
expensive (cheapest is a 1.4 mp Olympus at $1500 list); but ccd video
cameras aren't exactly cheap either. I'm sort of looking for a cheap
digicam that I wouldn't mind bashing a bit to remove the lens, but it
looks like those will be quite limited in exposure range (things like
the flash kicking in automatically). I'm also about ready to delve
into my Nikon 950, see if there's a good way to remove the lens
without wrecking the camera. I think the first thing I'll try is a
pinhole over the regular lens, just to see if it can handle the
exposure time.
