remember that Bulb & Time are different things...Bulb needs to be held open
hence the term bulb. Older shutters had a Time function that just opened the
shutter & you manually closed it.

Do you use a cable release wth a lock open on it? bulb is not like t it has
to be held or locked open. Do You use that cable on your 35mm and it works?
If so try an outher cable on your Mamiya. Not all cables work on all
shutters due to the leanth of the end of the cable in lock.
