I sometimes use a laser pointer to aim my pinhole. This works well on
cameras with a removable film back like 4X5's. You open the shutter and
shine the laser through the pinhole and will see the spot on the thing
you're taking a picture of. It's great for closeups where parallax is a real
problem. You can also move the light to the corners of the film area to see
your angle of view.

If you have an assistant, you can have them shine the light from the subject
onto the pinhole and you can position the camera to see the light on the
groundglass. Sometimes my assistant is duct tape.
