I have converted several "toy Cameras" like Freestyles YN300
35mm camera of Time Magazine giveaway 35mm's. They have
fairly easy to remove lens units and I disable the sutter
but try to keep the shtter action/film advance intact to
keep an even film advance and useable counter. The toy
cameras cost about $6.95 US new. I bought a dozen for my
high school photo classes and when they broke we took them
apart and tried to give them new life as pinhole 35's. The
students get a kick out of the succesful ones.
