The main difference (beside the price) I find is that de ZP has an effect
that is "radial" and the dreamagon is (hard to explain this) "linear". For
instance, if you were making the picture of a bright circular light source,
the ZP will show a ghostly halo all around the light source and the
greamagon -judging by the images in Shutterbug- would probably show a
elongated halo on top and perhaps at the bottom also, of circular light
source (in a horizontal composition).

BTW, taking about ZP, there is an article in that Shutterbug Feb/2001
edition about some Canon glass lenses using Diffractive Optics, the same
principle ZP lenses use. This new lenses (no yet released) use fresnel
lenses in combination with glass lenses.
