The same variable diffusion/color abberation can be achieved by simply apply
vaseline to different area of the lens or just apply vaseline (maybe gel
for holding hair is o.k., I have not try it) to a clear plastic (acrylic)
and put it in front of your len, you can adjust which area of the scene to
have the diffusion effect. It cost less than US$10 and you can get more
control to the diffusion. I think it may not work with my pinhole because
they don't have a lens, may be I will try to apply some vaseline to the hole
to see if it can get a zoneplate effect??? Is there anyone in the list have
try that?
