Tom,
I hope that you are not about to slip back into lens photography...
-:))
Some of the pictures on the gallery are really beautiful (although
perhaps on the verge of beeing too much for my own particular taste),
but I agree with you that there is something of the Zoneplate qualities
in them. Then why would someone want to pay the prices shown (over 250
Euros) when you can get a zoneplate for $15? Let's keep the secret well
covered... -:))
This said, I must confess that I recently purchased on eBay a vintage
"Adon" large format telephoto lens which I have not yet fully tested
(large format is no fun in sub-freezing weather) but which seems to have
some of the similar soft focus properties to this lens. One of the neat
feature of this lens is that it has a variable focal lens and a huuuuuge
coverage so that it will probably fit on my 11x14 field camera once I
get it all fixed up. But this is Out-of-topic for this group and
belongs to the Large Format group. I never even mentionned it... -:))
I wonder how others feel about that Dreamagon lens: gimmickrey or cool?
