Hi,
I am a novice "pin-holer" and this is my first posting.
I have tried the following idea. I "glued" three pieces of shaving razor blade
to form a triangular aperture -- the "pin-hole". By adjusting the three pieces ,
I got a small triangular aperture of the required pin-hole size.Guranteed clean
knife-edges !!!
I used a magnifying glass to compare the razor "pin-hole" with a set of auto-mechanics
steel shims. I reckon my razor "pin-hole" is an equilateral hole with sides about
0.3 ~ 0.4 mm.
The above assembly was mounted in a slotted lens cap of a 35mm SLR.
My first picture, in bright sunlight, is such a "success" , that I am encouraged
to experiment further.I had to use a 20 sec exposure on 35 mm 100ASA colour negative.
Will put up the picture soon as I organise a web site.
I look forward to your comments and suggestions
Cheers !!!
Devi Prasad
