Looks like a lot of people are interested in the 'swap'. On another list I
belong to (Epson printer) a travelling portfolio of prints was organized.
Those interested contributed a print. One person co-ordinated the list and
the gathering of the prints. Once the group of prints was gathered, it
travelled from person to person on the list who had contributed a print.
Thus all participants saw the whole set, but didn't have to make a huge
number of prints. I think a maximum size of 8x10 was decided, although
prints could be smaller. This was somewhat a function of the size of
people's inkjet printers. I think a cut off date was also established for
receipt of prints to be included in the portfolio. The cost only involved
the mailing of the prints to the next person and creation of one print each,
so those who wanted to play could afford to. The only downside was not being
able to keep the prints! As for "theme", I like the self portrait idea.If it
does not turn out to be a major financial/time committment, I would like to
join.
