Thanks for your reply, I too like the carousel best.

Your crackercam images got me thinking to whether there are any other
prefabricated or natural pinholes available so I've been on a search since,
it seems like biscuit products are quite a rich seam, "rich tea" biscuits
look promising as I think they'll be more lightfast than crackers so no need
for the peanut butter. I assume the crackers you were using had multiple
holes, did you ever try a multipinhole image with the cracker? Also, a
friend reminded me of the effect you get in partial eclipses of the sun when
pinholes formed by the holes through the leaves in trees project images of
the half covered sun ono the ground. This is another example of natural
pinholes and it relates to the earlier discussion about light's "desire" to
form images - something that really clicked with me.
