I can tell you that Tina Martin regularly scans her excellent work from
zoneplate negatives using an Epson 1200 with transp.adapter. I also know
that Joao Ribeiro scans his 35mm zoneplate negatives using a Nikon 35mm

Tina, kindly scanned and printed a 120 format color negative for me and
unless I missed something, I don't think there was any tricky setting in
doing it. Obviously, if the negative is to thin or to dense, a low end
scanner may have problems. Knowing a relatively accurate f/stop of your
zoneplate is important (I think) to get good exposed negatives.

Since I do not own a scanner with tranny adapter, I have my quick lab
process and print (4x4") my negative film 120 format, I then scan the small
prints with my $70 flat bed scanner. What can be worst than this?
Nevertheless, for web sites the quality looks IMO decent. You can see some
