Hello Guy,

thanks for your interest in my "pinhole art work" ;-). I like this kind
of photography very much. But for want of a film-transport-system I
didn't take many pictures with my "BlackBox" for 13x18 cm ILFORD
MULTIGRADE photo paper. Therefore one day I had the idea to use an old
rangefinder camera.

> What a great idea to convert a Zorki into pinhole! ...
Yes, indeed the Russian ZORKI 4 is a nice LEICA III-type RF-camera.
Spin out the fine JUPITER 2.0/50mm lens and replace it with a "yoghurt
cup cover" :-). Take a pair of scissors and trim the cover according to
the diameter of the M39-thread + 5 to 7 mm. You have to smooth the
covers's center with your thumbnail :-) and then the procedure with the
needle, which everybody knows, follows. After producing a perfect hole
(!!?) tape the yoghurt-cover in front of the lens opening. That's it!

> ... Did you do the same with your Blad?
Sorry Guy - my "Blad" is a "KIEV 88 TTL" - because of low budget - you
know ;-). It's a hell of a camera, you better believe it ;-). Sure I
will try to convert it to a Pinhole Camera in the near future then I
will show the results to all of you.

> I think your cat Arpad is terrific ...
Well, ARPAD, the "6-eyed" freak, is our cute male cat. He don't like
to be photographed. The exposure time was about 45 seconds. I directed
him to look, during I took the picture, in 3 different directions by
moving the forefinger of my left hand while pressing the shutter
release button with the other hand. What a task ;-) !

Well, in modern times, you don't have to laborate in the darkroom.
Software-based photography seems to be the future. I like color-
reduced pictures with a touch of harshness (is that the right word?),
like the discussed one.

Yes it could be ... It's christmas time and may be "Santa Claus" got my
message that I need a brandnew video monitor, because the old one isn't
able to calibrate to a standard gray-scale anymore. If I calibrate to a
good picture contrast then the font blured out to a very soft
"unreadable mode" ;-). So please standby and be patient. Thank you!

Thank's Guy for your comment. I hope to hear from you next time, when I
show up with new pinhole photos. All the best to you and your family.
