You don't really have to by-pass the autoexposure - I just removed the lens
and shutter blades (on a time-zero camera) and replaced them with a pinhole
and a homemade shutter to control exposure. After making the exposure - you
press the shutter button and the camera goes thru its normal exposure cycle
and ejects the film. You do have to be a bit careful though since the since
the mechanism and electronics that control the shutter and film ejection are
all interelated (of course). Its been a while since I've messed with
mine....
