I have a surplus camera originally from NASA that uses two razor blades
for a single strip, mounted on a gear that would move them closer or
further apart. I think its for strip photography like Andrew Davidhazy
does. It holds 100 feet of film and has the belts to hitch it to some
sort of motor. I've always wanted to turn it into a slit camera or
maybe just use the mechanism for one. I have also had students who have
made slit camera's. One used an extension tube for her 35 with slits cut
from pie aluminum at the back and front of the tube. Portions of her
images worked but she had to crop a lot away to get to the real effect.
