In my experience, the descent into flame wars is part of the natural life-cycle
of many (if not most) mailing lists. Big, fragile egos may be more widespread
than you think! ;-) Much of the problenm though, has to do with the rapid
yet imprecise nature of electronic communication. I like to think that this
list
has less flaming because photographers have more of a tendency to think
first before replying...
