As I previously pointed out, almost all the web based forum systems allow
new posts to be sent to your email address and you can reply back via email.
This for all intents looks like Listserve and one never need darken the
doorstep of the website. So web based is both push and pull, you can pick.

I lurked on the carbon list, I miss it.
Not enough to invest the extra effort
to browse for it. For those of us between
"don't care" and "I live for it", email
is the most effective and efficient tool.
