It appears that the community has decided (with its feet, its
fingers?) that the carbon list has lived out its usefulness. I
suspect we have entered the phase where it gets feeble and outlives
its usefulness, so I propose that I mercifully shut it down.

The archive will live on indefinitely, and the main page will direct
people to the url for the forum, as given above.
This would be the time to let fly with any alternative opinions.
