Sidney,

I haven't prepared paper for single transfer yet but I have sized many
papers (and some aluminum sheets) for gum printing. My method is to
prepare gelatine solution (3% gum -> take Howard's advice of 6% for
carbon) with added hardener (formalin) and then brushing it on paper,
I let it sit for 10 minutes and then I superdry it with a hairdryer.
It's quick and since you add the hardener in the gelatine solution
(very little -> 5 to 10ml per lt) you don't have to do it outdoor. You
can use the paper as soon as the last layer is dry (again, take
Howard's advice and do 3 layers)...

Regards,
Loris.
