Hi,
I have been experimenting and testing with fixed out silver paper so
far and wish, finally, to pass on to home prepared final support.
I have chosen a fine art aquarelle paper (fabriano artistico, 300g) and
wish to know how to best prepare the paper for transfer.
Several techniques are possible, coating the paper by means of a brush
or soaking entirely in the warm gel.
Do you have any recommendations regarding the two techniques, the number
of coatings necessary and the hardening with either formalin or chrome-alum.
In the case of soaking the paper in the gel for more than one coat, is
it necessary to harden it after every coat to prevent remelting or is a
'one and only' hardening in the end sufficient?
Thanks for your suggestions,
Sidney
