RE: Filter the glop?

I tried Saran Wrap and it is very hard to get on smoothly. Any wrinkles
allows the solution to flow between support paper and the roller. Saran Wrap
was in fact the condom of choice at the time I was a teenager, that is, what
the big boys told me. Those were the days when condoms were sold behind the
counter and it was a bit of a challenge for a 16 year old to stand tall and
ask for them.

Tempting to suggest strips of plastic stretch wrap ("Saran" or similar),
rolled 2-3 turn around the rollers. No issues with cutting on the end
of the roller, and they'll just unroll when it's time to change 'em
instead of having to be peeled off the end. Probably cheaper, too, even
if you're buying by the thousand...

Can't say that's surprising -- condoms were made from what amounted to
sausage casing (and reused, due to expense) for centuries before Schmidt
did us all a favor. In fact, you could still buy Forex brand
"lamb-skin" condoms (made from sheep intestines, just like sausage
casing is made from pig guts) as recently as 20 or so years ago, though
they might have finally gone under with the change in emphasis on what
condoms are for (and "natural skins" not being at all effective for that
need).

After you use everything you know and can find out to make what you're
certain is the right decision, and it's too late to change things or
back out -- you'll find out something that would have reversed the whole
thing for you, if you'd only known in time.
