Good morning Witho,
I dilute an 8% solution of Ammonium dichromate 1:2 with acetone
9'x11" tissue (for 8x10 neg) gets 21 ml of sensitizer (7:14). A 12x15
tissue (for 11x14 neg) gets 42ml (14:28).
I think that works out as a little less than 60ml of sensitizer for a tissue
for a 12x20 negative.
As Sandy suggested, I think the sensitizer gets all the way into the
gelatin. I do not think that rubbing in the sensitizer would increase the
depth in penatrates.
I follow Sandy's suggestion of pouring on half of the sensitizer at a time.
I use a non-foam brush that is 1.5" wide.
Vaughn
