Plastiziser.

I use sugar only as my plastiziser.
Is there any importance when to add it to the gel mixture? I could
dissolve it in the water prior to adding the gelatin, or after the gel
has been melted.
My guess is, it dissolves easier, faster and more even in the water
before adding the gel.
Sorry for a maybe stupid question!
