Inexpensive Pigment

Looking for an inexpensive source of pigment to last a life-time? Go
to your local Sherwin William store and buy a gallon of their
Blend-A-Color Black aqueous dispersion pigment. This is the stuff
they use to mix and make colors. Dick Sullivan put me on to this a
couple of years ago and sent me a small bottle of the Blend-A-Color
black. It is just as concentrated as tube water color and works just
as well, but at what I would calculate to be about 1/1000 of the
price. Also, quite a bit less expensive that the Mixol and Cal-Tint
II aqueous dispersions chemicals, though you can purchase them in
smaller amounts.

There are other Blend-A-Color pigments other than black, but you do
have to buy a gallon at time.
