A starting point for tissue in low RH would be: Units are in parts
by weight per 1000 parts water.

Gelatin 75 - 100

Sugar 30

Glycerin 15

Pigment as needed

For tissue support there are a number of options other than the litho
film Vaughn suggested. Unpasted wall paper liner works but comes in
limited widths. Check at the local big box home store. You wnat the
unpasted liner. Also Photowarehouse (800 922-5484) has roll ink jet
paper designed for dye only printing - Universal Photo Glossy #
795-364 -that comes in 36 in X 100 ft rolls - cheap. I believe that
Bostick and Sullivan have tried this as a tissue support. No need
to spend a bunch of money on the paper tissue support since it ends
up in the trash.

The other option for low humidity tissue is to give Richard Sullivan
a call at Bostick and Sullivan (505 474-0890) and see what tissue he
has in stock. (Shameless commercial plug) It works in low RH -
single digit Santa Fe humidity - and does not take a bulldozer to
flatten. A bit springier today since the humidity took a nose dive.

Good luck.

Howard
