Dick,
I use the Epson 1290 similar to the US 1280
I use a colorized negative as you , the pyro color of Kind Mr. Schreiber.
In fact the line don't show when I print on Platinum , they're really fine.
I print the work for akomamba viewable here www.akomamba.com this way and
they show no lines or any grainy digital effect.
But with carbon things seems different, I get good contrast but line shows.
I am working on it.
For the curves , I first work with the Schreiber curve, then change it a
little moving the 0 to 1% for this curve I use a 4% bichromate
solution and a 2 minutes exposures.
Now I start working differently , hoping I will avoid lines, as they are
only viewable in the highlight. I think to use a linear curve with a more
contrasted sensitizer.
I should mention that I do not use Pictorico film but Agfa Select
jet. Agfa block a little more the UV an need a longer basic exposure. to
get a Maximum black density.
I will put the curve and the modus operandi on a web page later this or
tomorrow depending on work.
