So, an update about the archive.
A threaded version is now available that runs from the time of the move
(late August) to the present. New posts will not be available at the
archive immediately, but should be processed each night in San Francisco's
wee small hours. I could always use an extra set of eyes, so if you sense
that the archive's not working -- specifically, that messages have come
across the list but have not shown up in the archive within 24 hours --
drop me a note (off-list).
I have a batch of text files, by month, for the earlier posts (Mar
2000-Jul 2004). Something has already processed these, stripping off
valuable mail header information, and it's not possible to generate a
threaded archive from these. For now, they're up just as textfiles and
I'm hoping that the original posts will turn up in a mailbox format so
that they can be integrated into the threaded style.

I am building the datasources for all the discussion, and I'm hoping to
have it searchable by the end of the year. The web-based interface to
the data stores is complicated, and the hours just swirl down the drain
like so much unhardened gelatin.
