Hi Vaughn

Thanks a lot for that link/book it was on my wish list. should keep me
busy a few days.

yes, this effect is very interesting, apart from a few quick tests I am
mainly using just gelatin & dichro at the moment, have not advanced to
add pigment yet:)
There is another student here doing a project on peoples abilities to
distinguish tonalities in photographs, sort of cognitive science kind of
thing, this does add literarily a third dimension to that. Although most
things has their reasons, this is a kind of overlooked effect within
photography.

I spent the last two years on Pt/Pd, but it is time to change as I
failed to "revolutionise" that process :), did learn a bit though, due
to the "nature" of this school I am unfortunately mainly printing step
tablets instead of pictures. -- While I think the theory goes; picture
content does not influence peoples ability to distinguish tonescales,
the way/method/process the tonescale is printed does definitely affect
the picture content, to turn it around. This is also not easily
expressed with a logarithmic graph...

Did buy Sandy Kings book, Louis Nadeaus book seems to be out of print,
saw one second hand at amazon, but they wanted 200 dollar for it which
is a bit outside my current budget, have Kosar and found a copy of
Woodburys Æncyclopedia of photography from around 1890s in a shelf here
which have good sectinon on woodburytype, think I have found what is
avaliable within the first 100 hits on google including an unknown
ammount of articles relating to holography. Would hovever still like to
see some more info/recipies on woodburytype as this (I believe) is more
relief focused, mainly for comparison reasons as I anyway will have to
optimise things for "local conditions", I assume. Will slowly start to
trace down the references from this in the library.

okay anyway its a slow saturday morning & my head is full, I just wanted
to say thanks for that book, will cook up some questions in the comming
week(s),
