Hello Halvor,
http://home.comcast.net/~watsok/American_Carbon_Manual.doc
The above is a link to a copy of the American Carbon Manual (1868). Modern
Carbon Printing by Luis whats-his-name, is a classic source of info. Sandy
King has a recent book out also. I taught my self from an article in
ViewCamera Magazine -- an issue from 1991 or 1992. I don't have the magizine
here to check on the exact date.
I tweaked my process and negatives to get a lot of relief in my prints. The
way one can get detail in the darkest shadows is great -- no tonal
difference, but there is raised relief in there! The sense of visual depth
the relief gives is wonderful, too.
Welcome to the list!
I'll be printing carbon again in the New Year -- I've been making
platinum/palladium prints lately, but need to get back to Carbon!
Vaughn
