Is the dark oval image area a seperate piece mounted on the white that has the identification information? If so, then it could be a carbon. If the the oval image and the text are one image on one substrate then I would think not as it would be pretty hard to get the oval and the text shown that way on one original neg.
I wouls ask if it's possible to tell if there's ne substrate or two, but I agree with Sandy, you'd have to see it anyway.
