Put me down for one of those beta rolls for
this new approach I'm working on.

IMHO I think that having to make one's own
tissue has stopped many a newcomer from
exploring the carbon process. My first
attempts at cyanotypes, salt prints, albumin
prints, etc. produced a sufficiently good
print to maintain the excitement and
interest. It took quite a bit of patients and
a lot of globs of gelatin before I made my
first acceptable carbon print. It was this
frustration at making good tissue that
inspired me to explore different carbon
approaches to make the whole process easier.
If I may also suggest (although more work on
your end) is to offer tissues with various
hues of black (brown through blue), then down
the road, the primary colors for full color
prints. Maybe even offer a "kit" that would
contain Sandy's book, tissue, dichromate,
transfer paper, etc. for the first timers.
Update:
I spent the xmas days developing film and
making enlarged film positives. This upcoming
weekend I'll be testing out those UV lamps I
mentioned previously.
