I'm at work right now, so I'm not sure what turn of the century books it
came from, but I do remember that using glycerin is a real taboo to early
carbonest,Woodburyest, sugar or honey was not. to much glycerin can make
mush out of your image.

As per my thoughts on high glycerine content I am a little wary at this
point. Too much might make it sticky in a high humidity climate.
I know it never happens but I have night mares about someone in Key West
calling up asking me how to get their neg unstuck from the tissue. I have
to optimize for all kinds of conditions. Although better stifff when dry
than sticky when humid.
